Sat Jan 24 Seattle We're Still Standing March & Rally

"We're Still Standing" March & Rally

This is an opportunity for YOU to join with friends, neighbors, and all who are standing strong against the fascist, authoritarian takeover of our country to make a bold statement...we are STILL STANDING.

West Seattle Indivisible, Evergreen Resistance, and 50501 are partnering to create an event filled with resolve as well as joyful resistance, emphasizing music, chants, song and lively dance.

This event is family-friendly, the site and march route are accessible, and a safety team is in place … bring your kids, friends, neighbors, and fellow community members to participate together to be loud and visible about what we still stand for. We'll lift up hundreds of signs (provided) naming the values we protect and the future we’re committed to building.

Gather at Hiawatha Playfield at 12:30 for the rally kick off to grab a sign and be inspired by local performers, then march with us starting at 1:00 (the march route is about 1 mile, flat sidewalk surface). Metro Rapid Ride C Line connects to bus 128 and 50, which stop right in front of Hiawatha and also near the end point of the march.

We will move with joyful purpose and fierce resolve, and will stand together as a visible, undeniable force for democracy and community.

Show up. Stand strong. Stay in the fight.

  • Wed Jan 6, 2026
  • 5:30pm
  • Tivoli Fountain
  • 103 Capital Way S, Olympia, WA 98501

Evergreen Resistance invites our community to an emergency, peaceful candlelight vigil following today's murder of 37-year-old Renee Good, who was shot while in her car by ICE agents in Minnesota.

President Trump has reported that the agents had acted in self-defense on social media, while state and local officials described federal accounts of the shooting with terms like "propaganda" and "garbage."

Evergreen Resistance is hosting a peaceful, emergency candlelight vigil tonight (Wed, January 7, 2026) to call for justice for the lives taken by ICE (the New York Times reports that in the last four months alone, immigration officers have fired on at least nine people in five states and Washington, D.C. All of the individuals targeted in those shootings were, like Renee Good, fired on while in their vehicles. In each case, officials have claimed that the agents fired in self-defense, fearing they would be struck by the vehicle.

"06 JUN 25. Peaceful protest. Resist injustice."

[Flyer depicts historical photo of the Higgins landing boat on June 6, 1944, which is framed by a Seattle times headline reading, "Invasion extra -- Sunset Final. The Seattle Daily Times." Moving counter-clockwise, there is a photograph of an African American Rosie the Riveter who helped build ships during WWII.]

Text adjacent to Rosie: "Defend the Constitution. Honor the past. Protect and support all Veterans & service members."

[The word "all" is in alternating blue and pink colors, like the trans flag.]

[Photo to the right depicts a Veteran holding a handmade sign with an inverted flag, signaling the United States of America in distress. He stands next to someone in a hoodie with the US Marine Corps logo. A sign in front of him reads, "We the People... Protect Our Democracy!"

The Veteran's sign reads, "We don't take an oath to a King, or a queen, or a TYRANT, or a DICTATOR + we don't take an oath to a WANNABE DICTATOR. We don't take an oath to an individual. We take an oath to the Constitution + we take an oath to the idea that is America + we are willing to die to protect it." - General Mark Milley.]

Olympia April 19 Protest + Aid Drive Flyer

On April 5th, we saw thousands of Washingtonians raise their voices together in Olympia to protest the attacks on our civil liberties. Bring that collective strength to our next event on Saturday, April 19th!

We'll be raising funds to support future events and local community groups. Bring a camping chair, sunscreen, water, and your voice

In this heated political climate, Evergreen Resistance has no way of guaranteeing anyone's security. We welcome everyone at our events, but we strongly encourage families with children to bear their safety in mind. The organization Mycelichor will be putting on an Earth Day-themed educational egg hunt directly across the campus, for anyone looking for a more all-ages-friendly event.
